Ronald (Ron) Bath
Ron went to Chelsham Garage firstly as a driver in the early 1970’s before going into the clothing store until he retired in 1987. While at Chelsham he was Chairman of the Social Club. For a time he was the Welfare Officer acting on behalf of the Union and ran the Christmas Club for many years. Before going to Chelsham he had worked as a conductor on the trams, and then as a driver for London Transport working out of Thornton Heath and The Red Deer Garages.
Ron and his wife, Margaret, moved to Dorset in 1988 and have spent many happy years there enjoying their retirement. Sadly Ron died in hospital on 12th November 2003
